Race2Glory

Race2Glory is a multi-sport adventure race involving running (including a river section) and cycling, that has taken place for the past 6 years in July in around Kiltimagh. There are 2 course options for those taking part, the “Full Race” (40km in total) as well as the “Sprint Race” (20km in total), thereby catering for all abilities and fitness levels. Both courses are divided into 3 stages.

The race has grown in popularity over the years and 2016’s event saw by far its biggest field yet with over 300 participants. The race is regularly praised as being superbly organized, with a great goody bag and aster-race care for all participants that is unrivalled. The event is also part of the National Adventure Race Series so it attracts a strong field, as well as attracting many first time adventure racers. With the renowned Kiltimagh community coming out each year in numbers to cheer and encourage participants all along the route, this really is a fantastic event.  Race2Glory website

Race2glory is back for 2016, as good as ever before but with an added twist aimed at trying to make it more accessible to everybody! This year we are keeping the alternative sprint course that measures 20km along with the established 40km full course, therefore Race2Glory will remain the most competitive race on the adventure series calendar. We’re keeping all the good bits, Spankers Hill, The Bog, Craggagh Hill and Glore River, but trying to make it more accessible to everybody. At €49 for individuals in both races (including a goody bag and aster-race BBQ), Race2Glory really is great value. And remember Race2Glory is a not-for-profit community based event with the vast majority of money taken in going back into the cost of running the event! Our goal is to provide a great race at a reasonable cost. You’ll still get the great atmosphere, the thrills of racing one of the best courses around, the aster race BBQ, the massage, ice baths, the electronic timers and goody bag, so our standards will remain sky high.
